This component outlines our comprehensive approach to attracting, training, and retaining foster carers, ensuring they are well-supported, appropriately matched with children, and continuously developed through learning and development policies. It covers the entire lifecycle of a foster carer's engagement with the agency, emphasising the importance of their role in children's lives.
This part of the framework:
A) Covers Fostering Regulations requirements for the recruitment, approval, and support of foster carers, emphasising their ongoing development.
B) NMS are addressed by ensuring foster carers receive appropriate training, and their qualifications are regularly updated.
C) SCCIF requirements for foster carer support are met by providing a comprehensive system for supervision and continuous learning opportunities.
