Power of Shared Experiences

Overcoming grief from involuntary separations can seem impossible in isolation. Solidarity from peer support groups collectively navigating turbulence in life transitions offers a broader vision which expands what overcoming could encompass, through sharing relatable stories and brainstorming contingency plans. Together, foster carers can help children view the formidable as surmountable.

Participating in Peer Support

Foster carers can expand their knowledge and realise care objectives through shared experiences of other foster carers, where intentionally exploring steps and potential opportunities can be more effective rather than awaiting the inspiration to act. Experienced foster carer insights widen growth possibility frontiers beyond limited beliefs in change capacities, by taking incremental progress towards achieving care goals through patience and perseverance.
